Ignoring Mean People
Sometimes ignoring someone means less stress if the person doing the ignoring is tuning out.
Ignoring mean people. Mean people can spread their negative energy so keeping your distance allows you to preserve a positive outlook. Ignoring can sometimes mean control. If you behave like that don t wonder why people are ignoring you. You want to be polite even if you re ignoring someone.
Mean people do not give you the right to act mean. Don t play the one upmanship game. Don t fight fire with fire. You re crazy but the control may not be all bad.
You can ignore someone in a polite fashion by simply keeping your distance and ignoring negative behaviors. It s a waste of energy to try and figure out why. If you can t avoid them consider each encounter as a challenge for you to show compassion and practice patience. Being rude back will not help the situation.
The danger of responding to a mean person is the temptation is to be more mean than them. There are some really mean spirited vindictive people in the world. People who long to see you fail may even attempt to sabotage you then call you paranoid and crazy and will take great pleasure in any misgivings or misfortune that come your way. When we talk about someone who is a great friend we usually mean that the person is honest with us.
Just as mean people can spread negative energy you can spread the positive. By doing so you become no different than them. Many people who behave badly are dishonest liars and like to know everything. At school work or in your friends circle there may be someone you simply don t click with.
